You can permanently delete your Rupex account and every record tied to it at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed. This page explains what gets deleted and how to request it.
Option 1 — Delete in the app
The fastest option — your account is erased immediately.
- Open Rupex and sign in
- Go to Profile → Privacy & Data
- Tap Delete Account
- Type DELETE to confirm — your account is erased right away, permanently
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, or prefer not to sign in, email us from the address on your account:
Send a deletion request to
hello@rupexio.in with the subject "Delete my Rupex account". We verify the request comes from the account owner, complete it within a few business days, and confirm by email once it's done.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes every record tied to it from our database, including:
- Your profile — name, email and login credentials
- All expense and income entries
- Savings goals and their progress
- EMI and loan tracking data
- Budgets, categories and bank accounts
- Notifications and app preferences
- Any linked Google Sign-In association
This can't be undone. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered — there is no grace period. If you'd like a copy first, use Profile → Privacy & Data → Export before deleting.
What we don't keep
We don't keep a backup or shadow copy of your data after deletion. Rupex currently has no records that fall under a mandatory retention obligation (such as fraud-prevention or accounting rules) for deleted accounts — if that ever changes, this page will say so explicitly.
